A mature easy going guy who likes people who enjoy being unique. . . . I enjoy living in the country, my dog, my hobbies and my retirement. I am a recent widower, so I am working though all that sadness. I am not looking for someone to cry on at all nor do I wish to find any drama folks or people with a lot of excess past baggage either. I am a retired professional per, who has made my own way in life, and carry a few scars, bumps and bruises from living it. I am proud of what I have accomplished and I have little regard for being a 'standard' everyday couple. I like stimulating conversations , discussions, learning about new things and am very open minded. I enjoy fixing things, planning and completing all kinds of projects, and for entertainment side, then I am a Discovery, National Geographic, History channel watcher mainly. Love most sports, listening to classic RnR music, and not being a burden on anyone else.

My Ideal Person Someone who enjoys life, looking for a person that has been around the block a few times and has learned from it, can even have a few scars from it. Someone who is willing to stand next to me as an individual first, then as a friend and lastly as a possible partner. I take things slowly and found good things always seem to happen when your patient. A person that is willing to learn new things, willing to live in the country side, and can be happy without being entertained by others constantly. That person has to be honest and trustworthy to begin with, someone who has raised their children and let them go live there own lives and now believes its her time to live. Person has to have a healthy love for most all animals (and a few people also) to me that always defines a very positive characteristic trait. Someone who tries to treat others as they would like to be treated as well.
