I have recently been through a very dark place and I am not out of it yet. I have been stuck in a place of loneliness created at least in part by my parents and the perceived morality of the times. I was unaware of choices beyond the core nuclear family. I was kept on a very short social leash, still haven't figured out a lot of the stuff I should have figured out 40 years ago.
