Thoughts for Christmas Week

Monday: Oh look, yet another Christmas TV special! How touching to have the meaning of Christmas brought to us by cola, fast food, and beer.... Who'd have ever guessed that product consumption, popular entertainment, and spirituality would mix so harmoniously?

Tuesday: Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Wednesday: Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.

Thursday : The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family and friends all wrapped up in each other.

Friday: I wake up on this morning and put on my new t-shirt, nikes, and jeans, and oh this house is a site to be seen. The toys are broken and batteries are dead and from the living room I hear the snoring of my dear Uncle Fred. The herd starts to rustle and pack up their gear. These are the days that make me thankful for beer. I look out of the window as they drive out to sight, and wonder if I will have this place cleaned up by New Years Eve Night. Me today

Saturday: Here's to the bright New Year, and a fond farewell to the old; here's to the things that are yet to come, and to the memories that we hold

Sunday: People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas

I hope everyone has a great holiday and has enjoyed these. May your holiday be warm, happy and loving. Take time to enjoy this time for it will be the memories that you will be your greatest present.
