Here it is Canada Day, and being Canadian I envisioned sleeping late, lounging around with a cold beverage and recounting key events in Canadian History (Editor's Note - no it is not like July 4th, where we can shop our asses off)
Nahh ....
I worked on THE LIST - the anathema of leisure.

I have done 5 loads of Laundry
Gone Grocery Shopping
Rebuilt the desktop (Still need to go to Raleigh)
Made Lunch for my Mother-In-Law (Grilled Chicken, Orzo pasta a la risotto, and Broccoli)
Shocked the Pool
No wonder I need a nap
Well off to Accounting cause our year-end was yesterday.
Got to get ramped up to shop.

I work a lot .... anyone who says being self-employed is the way to go has never done it. Sure there are certain advantages to be realized by being able to work in your pjs, or drinking on the job but come on.
So here it is Saturday Morning, the office is closed, I was enjoying the notion of sleeping in and BAMM! the terribly harsh realization that I have personal crap to attend to and my leisurely designs of chatting away the day are blown sky high .
The list is HUGE but in no particular order:
1. Build a deck around the pool (Most people would probably pass that off but I am not that smart)
2. Sell My other house (We moved in 2 years ago and cannot seem to find the time to finish things up so we can list the damn thing). I hear you all out there saying, take the days off you need and go do it - LIFE DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY!!!
3. Figure out where to store stuff (I swear the builder and the architect were smoking crack when the put this plan together - Enuff Said)
4. Clean My Office (This is just nightmarish to explain, but it is big)
5. Grocery Shopping
6. Make Dinner for my Mother-In-Law (I love her, it is her birthday and I like to cook, but it takes time)
7. Rebuild my Desktop (I do this for a living so this should be cake .... I cannot just go to Best Buy and get a new one, Hell in this stink hole town there is not a good supplier of Parts)
8. Schedule a trip to Raleigh (See Item 7)
9. Finish Year End Accounting (I know this list is not a work thing, but it is tough to do when the phones are ringing.
10. Do Laundry (I am starting to think I need to go with Selene's Idea for a House Bitch [blog SeleneMoonChild]. I know my wife thinks that is me - I have other ideas)
11. Treat the Pool
12. Answer the immortal questions brought up by those around me.

Starting to get the idea....
13. Pick up my comic books (No comments needed or required)

Well now that I have made the list, I am going back to bed. I have accomplished something to be proud of. As far as what I accomplish this weekend. 13, 12, 11, 10, 5 (unless I can figure out how to avoid it or pass it off) and then put my feet up and bitch about the rest!

OK, Blog, probably not. Rant, occasionally. Smart Assed Observations about stuff ... OH HELL YEAH.

For those that have been around for a bit, chatted a bunch or shuffled through a certain chat room (regardless of the hour) you have probably seen me. I have been camped out there for 2 years in my endless search for satisfaction (What that actually is I may get around to someday, but today is not that day).
Of late, it struck me that some people felt I was nothing more than some complex coding designed to politely greet people as the entered (Failure to do so is rude and has been commented upon frequently in other blogs so THE IS DEAD). Um, back on to the point. Last Saturday, I mustered the courage (CAUSE DAMMMIT I AM SHY) to attend a social gathering visited upon by members of the very same chat room.
I had the most fun, met people that I had chatted with, and got to see real people. I have some really good friends, thanks guys you really made me feel welcome. You made me blush a bunch
(CAUSE DAMMMIT I AM SHY,)
you made me laugh and you made me remember why I walked in.
