still sitting on a fence....

So here’s where I am with my thinking re upgrading a gold membership……
There is little opportunity for contact with anyone with just the standard membership. It’s been suggested I set a blog post (thanks for the suggestion) and limit showing the responses so it becomes a means of private communication. Hmmm…….and I realize I shouldn’t expect much from the free membership, but kinda’ disappointed as the marketing implied more….this is my first experience on a site like this and now having checked out some others, and read the fine or hard find print, realize this is standard. (lonely, horny and gullible!)
Local searches have not shown many local members within my search parameters, and the biggest parameter is my preferred age range. I live on a border town, hundreds across the border but obviously not going to work now, and to be honest, I really prefer someone local. Not sure how much travel goes on here when things are normal anyway.
Majority of folks I have “met”, thru their blogs have seemed good folk. It would be nice to establish stronger ties (communic not meet) and I realize I don’t necessarily need a membership do that.
So it’s a value question, I guess. And while I toss that around, when I logged in today, another 6 month special pops …….
, and days when I am leaning not upgrading, a certain blogger posts pictures of herself in fishnets again….. sigh.....(a weakness of mine).

 If it's ok to chime in here ... The visibility of your profile depends a lot on your profile picture. Without a profile pic it's very difficult to create an interest in your profile. As a female user I didn't pay any attention to picture-less profiles when I was actively searching.

 I hope you're sitting on a split rail fence and not a chain link one - those are quite uncomfortable.

I can tell you that when I lived in Metro Detroit, I considered Windsor to be local. Of course, crossing the border can take longer than the drive between the two areas. The pandemic has only made that worse.

I would suggest buying gold for a month. Try it out. Just make sure you have auto renew turned off.
Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!
