It consistantly amazes me the number of people who have to check your profile before they IM with you or not. If the person who is attempting to IM with you, even if you have to view their profile first, at least give that person the courtesy of saying "Hi" back and tell them as to why you don't want to chat with them.

And when you are finished chatting, say"goodbye" or "so long". Don't leave somebody hanging.

Another thing is when someone tries to IM with you, don't just disappear from the IM and then pop back in when you think that person is gone. Pretty immature of those who do that .

Also, If you have sent a friend request to someone and they have accepted and they try to IM with you remember, You sent the request and it was accepted, you kind of owe that person a chat, Same thing the other way, if they have requested you as a friend and you have accepted, you chould chat with them when they attempt to IM with you. It works both ways.

Just common courtesy and decency folks.

We are all having a hard time right now dealing with something serious. people are lonely. Talk to them to alleviate some of the lonliness. It doesn't have to be about sex or meetups. A simple "hello, how are you" will do and take the time to listen to them for a moment or two. We all have time to do that right now.

EVERYBODY has the time right now and everybody needs everybody, we are all in this together, let's help each other with a little friendliness.

We can all go back to being assholes and idiots later when this virus crap has passed.
