 Worst job ever? Had just been fired from my first "real" job and was desperate for anything that came along. So I accepted the first offer even though I wasn't at all enthusiastic about the position. I didn't really like my co-worker, but did whatever she wanted to make her happy because it was better than having nothing at all.

After about four months, I just stopped showing up for work. She was pissed off and wrote me a nasty termination letter, which I didn't bother to keep. Not long after, I found a much better job with a much better co-worker.

Lesson learned: don't settle for something that you know from the start isn't going to work out.
