 PS I don't look at friend requests with any regularity. At some point they really got away from me and so I currently have 587 unprocessed.

    The quality of the nasal product all depends on the activity, and the same can be said for one's a.f.f 'Friends'.......

    I've never really understood that feature because even if you're someone's 'Friend', if you're a standard member all you can do is read 'friends only' blog posts, (which I don't really agree with in the first place, but that's another discussion...) You can't even see their photos or otherwise interact with the person.

    And those folks who collect friends by the tens of thousands, well that's a bit like collecting crusty bogeys, is it not??
collecting crusty bogeys is what tables are for, right? It's been a while since I've been a standard member, but as I remember, you can't do shit.

Well, that's different than collecting, you've had some form of interaction with these people. No harm in having large numbers of real friends.

 I have a dozen friends listed. Mostly locals and some bloggers. I ignore most of the friend requests from strangers that are far away or from people I don't find interesting in some form. Friendlies might be a better term... lol. Though I do consider some to be friends just from a distance that makes it difficult to say if we would be friends were we closer. Friend collectors get rejected.

I had a few that seemed interesting, but after zero contact beyond the friend request, I deleted them. I don't understand why I got a request in the 1st place.
