their souls
they were the lost
the desperate
born into pain
born into a life without
teardrops fell
from their eyes
down their cheeks
no one saw
no one knew
they lived
behind closed doors
frightened of life
afraid of death
lost somewhere
in nowhere
their footsteps
in life disappeared
weren't seen
when they passed
never known
they had been forgotten
never remembered
