Mini Sabbatical Day Two Apparently I work a lot..... Enough that my apartment manager and the handyman are concerned for my welfare as, for the second day in a row, I am not at wor The were heading out for their dad's when my Middle said "Mom, there's a card out in the hallway." Um, yah. That's totally bizarre.... I opened it up and it was from the apartment manager and handyman. WTF?!? They wanted to make sure everything was o "Are there other cards in front of the other doors?" "Nope." I guess I'm going have her now and let her know that I'm merely taking a mental health break from work and not dying alone in my apartment from the Virus. Thanks for you concern though! It's actually a very kind gesture, in a world where people aren't really being all that kind these days. I do value and appreciate it. I think maybe I'll take a shower today... And go for a wal It's a little chilly, but the sun is out. Might be good for my mental health. TGIF! |

Hmmm, kind gesture? Seems they might have called or at least knocked on the door to check on you. Leaving a card wouldn't have helped you much if you were actually sick and in bed.  I actually watched that tiger king series... I don't know if anyone could have made a better case for closing down all these type operations. Bunch of egotistical, criminal, drug abusing mentally ill people that should be behind bars or in mental health institutions getting treatment. It sure looks like the woman in Florida murdered her wealthy husband and made him disappear. Watched lots of stuff on Netflix though I have dozed off part way through a lot of the shows. I finally changed the setting on my account so it doesn't automatically start the next episode after I woke up several times and several episodes had played through or I was at the end of the series... As for Carol Baskin, I think she killed her husband too.

Well if something did happen to you at least you have a kids that would notice. I was told a fucked up story last week. Mother and father were divorced, teenage kids lived with the mom. One day they go over to see their dad. They find a note on the door that said if someone knows who lives here to call the police. The father had died. They did not know who the next of kin were. Since I live alone I think I need to put a big sign in the wall with my brother's name and number on it.

I think this new apartment manager actually likes me... I pay my rent on time, my apartment is clean and have decent things so it always looks nice in here. For the most part I get along with all the neighbors in my hall... The downstairs neighbors being the exception to that rule. But, they are just really trashy people.

It's nice that they're concerned. Better THAT... than waiting till they notice the odor. 😁😮 I'm heading off to a spooky monastery built in 1874. Walking tour... outside... with a history of all the evil stuff that went on inside. I think... they're going to open one of the dungeons and let us walk in... ... one at a time... 😮 Have fun! 👍 😎🍷🍷

Not sure what the cool people are doing this fabulous shelter-at-Friday... But this girl is going to drink some wine, put on some clean jammies, and junk out on some HBO streaming.
