 In some cases a person using a phone or tablet will appear to be on the IM system but will not receive the notification. In most cases the men outnumber the women by such a large margin on IM that females cannot respond to all of the requests they receive.

 ever time i use it no on one responds it says ----- not on chat or some other excuse

Yes what Gr8 said plus. SiteSupport has said regarding that IM issue. A big IM issue is people on phones not logging off. This makes the IM still see people as being on IM when they really aren’t. So in effect the people who don’t log off are creating the problem.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

 Standards can only send 5 messages on the IM on a laptop, I don't know if that's the case on a mobile device. If the person you send one of those messages to doesn't answer or is no longer on the IM the message still counts as one of your 5, which is annoying.

 Good (but sorta sad) to see I'm not the only one having issues with the IM system on here. The way NoStrings is treating anyone who isn't a paying member (and those who are) really makes me hesitant to subscribe to their service...
