I've come to terms with the fact that very few people are honest. A lot will say they are, but when push comes to shove, the skirt around the truth. What's wrong with being honest, we are adults, any sort of relationship built upon lies, will never last, be it just a friendship or something more. The truth may hurt, but a slow death of kindness is far more painful.

 Depends on what one is being dishonest about. That can range from little white lies to major breaches of trust.

But the long and short of it is, the times we are the least honest are the times that we fear to lose that which is dear to us.
