Who wants to try out the new Downloadable IMC?

Further update Today I set up on public with chat. There was no cam or chat icon by my handle as usual. After about ten minutes, I had a viewer. I asked him where he found my broadcast since there were still no icons, but got no answer. This viewer stayed with me for quite awhile so I did some checking out. The first page refresh I got after he tuned in, I got a cam, but no chat icon. The next refresh I went to no icons. For the next half hour, both cam and chat icons would go off and on intermittently with each refresh. When they were on, I would sometimes get another viewer. With them off, nothing. Sometimes when they were off, it would read I had 1 viewer, sometimes 0 viewers. I got no response from any viewer whether I talked to them on my chat page or sent them a page. I also had my audio on and tried talking to them. One time when my icons were off, I searched for myself on the view webcam page and I was there. I clicked on to myself and I came up with group chat and my audio was working. This is how the first viewer must have found me. Some observations on paging. I tried paging a guy who always talks to me and the page read he was not available. Possible, but unlikely. When I tried to page those viewing, it said they had received my page and wait for their reply. Nobody ever replied, but that is possible since a lot of people watch without commenting. I have also had two occasions where I was paged by someone who was not viewing. When I clicked on accept, nothing would happen. I quickly looked up one of them on the im and sent them a page. When the chat window opened, the first line on the page was the message they sent me, and the second line was the message I sent them when I paged back. I was able to chat with this person, but got no feedback before he vacated the chat session. I still get the same error if I try to view anyone's profile from anywhere on this im, whether it me the list, or their broadcast, or a chat page. Still hate the 4 windows required to run this.

Should have read wd40w's comments first. The Who's Online page will only refresh on its own. If you click the refresh option, you get a continuous whirling disc. The only way I found around that was to click on to the webcam tab and then click back to the Who's Online tab. Then it would refresh.

Yeah...downloaded the de-bugger...not that it will do that much good...did come across this phenomenon though...did the search on the Who's Broadcasting Page...although I show as broadcasting without audio...audio is ON BTW...click on it and I'm Broadcasting in Private...so I go into a chat room...theres a cam icon...I click and get this...you will note there is no broadcast clock in the upper right corner...and audio is working...I will send to you a screen cap of my activity log concerning the chat...if I try to post it here the site will deny/and or obscure all coding...this is by far the weirdest one of all...

Just a FYI...Adobe has released updates within the past 24hrs for all OS's...so everyone should go there and do a update...tried all the broadcasts and although I showed as broadcasting...every time I tried connecting it would come up as Private...with the exception as noted below...

Oh where to start on version 1.33. First of all, I still can't bring up anyone's profile from the IM. Still reads xxxm=a big long number cannot be found. For camming, no matter what I try, I cannot get a cam icon to come up next to my handle. Sometimes when I try to broadcast and I have chosen an option and click OK, nothing happens. The black window used for choosing options either does not close, or if it does, no broadcast window appears. My cam is on and I did find myself on the who's broadcasting page, but still no broadcast window. If I shut down and fire up again, I can usually get a broadcast window to appear. As far as options go, if I choose public with group chat first, my broadcast window will appear with a chat page. If I choose public or private first and then try to go to public with group chat, although it will say I'm broadcasting with public chat, I get no chat page. No matter what option I have chosen for broadcasting, if I go to the black window and click on stop broadcast, it changes my broadcast window to private. If I click on stop broadcast on my cam window and the black window comes up with stop broadcast already chosen, it will stop broadcasting. A couple of times when I have chosen different options on the IM page such as age, number of viewers, etc., when I try to go back to distance, it is reading as if I'm at NoStrings. All my closest handles are in the bay area. The only way to correct this was to reboot the IM. I've tried broadcasting various times, but the only people to view me are people from my network that were online when I started and they pulled my cam from their alert bar, or people that happen to be scrolling the who's broadcasting page and pulled my cam from there. Re: paging. I've tried paging people with no success, so I've gone to the site IM and paged them and they have answered, telling me they received no page with the 1.33 IM. I then have had them try to page me on the 1.33 IM with no success. I have tried this IM various times over various days with the same results.

I've gotten some feedback from other members testing and...it seems that turning on their cam triggers their AVG anti-virus software...wondering if any other users have experienced this...or if it's been reported...

Ryan, I know I;m late but could you please include me in volunteers list for the new IM. I can not use mine for the past couple of months and the guys weren't able to figure out the reason. Okies...up to version 1.54...once again command clicking does not bring up settings...really need that to do a proper test...can't select audio without it...broadcast for 3hrs...folks could see but not hear me...even though I had the audio set to "on"...could page folks and lo and behold they got the pages and could respond...however when sent a cam invite...my cam wouldn't open for them...I however could open my own cam...how I knew my audio wasn't working for sure...could you please send Ionlyshow a copy of this one? She is very interested in trying it...and seeing as how she is one of the longest lived and more popular broadcasters here...it would be good to get her feedback.

Its not a regular thing,hadnt really thought about it till I read this.Could the IMC versions be crossing over.As I mentioned in the "questions for april 4th" thread in the live from NoStrings group last monday evening there was an issue with the site.I stated there the IMC was also effected~I did see a 'new/different' format/layout.Thinking back~it has been since then that the a/v events have happened for me. I have also noticed recently on the standard IMC certain pages react differently.It is consistantly the same members that I see this happening with. Some when I page the window will have all the responce messages showing~declined/please wait/has recieved~show up~each one rapidly flashing through.Then if the member does reply,the 'close' button will stay centered in the window. ,,,, One other recent oddity~~ a few members I have chatted with will have the green 'member X has entered' message appear before each comment that that member makes.And Even rarer I have also the green 'entered message AND the red 'member has left' message appear in the same window as the other member makes each comment.(green before comment,red immedately after comment) And last~I don't see the 'member has left' meesage appear correctly in a normal use,only as mentioned above or if the member actually logs off the IMC.I have left chat windows open for extended periods waiting for replies until the 'member has left' msg appears.Then next chat with that member find that the member had logged off appox the same time the msg appeared in the window.But the member had actually left the chat an extended time period before the msg appeared. I've seen that too in the chat windows...also the cam frame rates are incredibly slow...sometimes stopping completely and then doing a fast-forward to catch up...I will add that the beta doesn't seem to play well if you are logged into the site proper...seems to work best when you are not logged into the site. I'm also wondering which version of Flash they are using for the beta... EXACTLY~~ Same with the standard version,I have to log on to access the link,but I go no farther than the log on page for best results. NoStrings Parody Of a Real Sex Site

This is one of the major problems with this site. Most of the crap is still in development but you still feel it is good enough to use. The term "GOOD ENOUGH" means NOT GOOD. It's Not ready. Thats why this site never works properly. I watch these blogs and experience most of the same problems as the rest of the people. I look at your responses and you just lead people in circles saying that your site is superior and if there is a problem that it is the users fault. OK, So it is the users fault that the Group chat IM doesn't load the videos OK, Its the users fault that the pages refresh and go Blank or only refresh part way OK, so its the users fault that majority of the profiles on here are created by affiliate marketers using other sites promotional tools to create profiles OK, Its the users fault that the site burbs and deletes accounts or passwords. OK then its the users fault that when you send out 50 friend invites at a time that every 2 or 3 times it reveals the users personal email addresses. When are you going to take responsibility and say, THE SITE HAS ITS PROBLEMS.

I took the liberty of forwarding the download link to Ionlyshow...her review follows..."It's even worse than the standard IMC...and it completly stopped working after I got 245 viewers." Needless to say she's been one of the longest lived broadcasters here...she's always one of the best broadcast quality cams here...having to cope with up to five windows being open is just not very user friendly...and not being able to command click to adjust Flash settings is just wrong...I realize it's a "beta"...but without basic controls it's very hard to test properly.

I send in a comment a long time ago for wanting to use the beta imc but never got the link I was wondering if your still looking for testers and if you are could you please send me the link. I am currently using the old imc client and would love to help make the new one better

Please note the date of the post...03-04-2011...They decided not to continue with the downloadable version of the IM...If you are having problems...Follow the link for feedback on your home page...Post over at the Site Support Blog also...Hope it helps...
